Standard Terms & Conditions for event participation

PLEASE READ THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS CAREFULLY BEFORE REGISTERING FOR THE EVENT

  1. These Standard Terms and Conditions for Event Participation (“Standard Event Terms”) apply to participation in events (“Event(s)”) organised by (or in cooperation with) net B.V. (“i3D.net”). The Standard Event Terms are in addition to any terms and conditions established by the venue.

  2. By opting to register for the Event, you automatically agree to our Standard Event Terms. If you have problems with any of the clauses listed below or do not agree with the risk allocations mentioned here, please do not register, purchase tickets, or try to enter the Event’s premises.

  3. In its sole discretion, i3D.net reserves the right to refuse admittance to or expel from the Event anyone that it determines is behaving in a manner that could be disruptive to the Event or pose any danger to any other attendee. Breach of any of the terms herein shall entitle i3D.net to all available legal remedies.

  4. ASSUMPTION OF RISKS. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, and save in relation to instances of gross negligence, reckless conduct, wilful conduct, or intentional acts by i3D.net or Event sponsors, you hereby fully understand and knowingly, voluntarily, and irrevocably, assume all risks, hazards and dangers related to entry into, and presence in, at and around the venue and Event.

  5. RELEASE AND WAIVER. The Released Parties shall not be liable for any loss, liability, or damage to personal property. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, you hereby acknowledge and knowingly, voluntarily, irrevocably, and forever release, waive, and discharge, each of the Released Parties with respect to any and all claims that you may have (or hereinafter accrue) against any of the Released Parties, that relate to any loss, liability or damage to personal property. “Released Parties” collectively means 1) i3D.net’s officers, directors, manager(s), employees, agents, affiliates, shareholders/members, successors, and assigns and 2) any Event sponsor’s officers, directors, manager(s), employees, agents, affiliates, shareholders/members, successors, and assigns.

  6. EVENT AMENDMENTS AND DISCLAIMER. i3D.net and any other organiser of the Event reserve the right to make changes to the agenda, format, speakers, location, and any other aspect of the Event without notice and without liability to you. i3D.net may at any time, with or without giving notice, in its absolute discretion and without giving any reason, change, cancel or postpone the Event, change its venue or any of the other published particulars, or withdraw any invitation to attend. In any case, i3D.net or any Event sponsor shall not be liable to you for any damages, costs, or losses incurred, such as transportation costs, accommodations costs, or financial losses.

  7. SPEAKERS, SPONSORS AND EXHIBITORS. Views expressed by any attendee, speaker, exhibitor, or sponsor at the Event are their own. i3D.net shall have no liability for advice given, or views expressed, by any attendee, speaker, exhibitor, or sponsor at the Event or in any material provided to attendees.

  8. PHOTOGRAPHS, PUBLICITY MATERIAL, RADIO AND TELEVISION AND PRINT MEDIA. By attending this Event, you consent to be photographed and filmed during the Event. If you have any questions or if you would prefer not to be photographed, please contact marketing@i3D.net before registering for the Event. Except as otherwise expressly agreed in writing between i3D.net and the applicable party, i3D.net reserves the sole right to use any photographs, recordings, electronic images, or publicity material received by or obtained by i3D.net in the course of the Event, for the purpose of trade, advertising, sales, publicity and otherwise, without further compensation to the attendee, speaker, sponsor or exhibitor, and all rights titled and interest bearing (including all worldwide copyrights therein) will be i3D.net’ sole property, free of any claims of attendee, speaker, exhibitor or sponsor or any persons deriving any rights or interest from the attendee, speaker, exhibitor or sponsor. You agree and acknowledge that any photographs, recordings, electronic images, or publicity material received by or obtained by i3D.net in the course of the Event may also be shared, for the purposes as described above, with (a) affiliates of i3D.net; (b) Event co-hosts, and (c) Event sponsors.

  9. PERSONAL INFORMATION. By submitting registration details, you agree to allow i3D.net to process all personal information provided in such registration in accordance with i3D.net’s privacy policy (available at https://www.i3d.net/legal/privacy-and-cookie-statement/) and acknowledges that such processing may include such personal information being held by i3D.net on a database and, where legally permitted, being shared with other parties within the EU and internationally. You agree and acknowledge that any personal information you submitted to i3D.net in connection with the Event may be shared with (a) affiliates of i3D.net; (b) Event sponsors; (c) third parties providing services specific to your Event attendance including, but not limited to: registration providers, Event app providers, networking providers; (d) third parties (exhibitors, sponsors, media partners etc.) hosting workshops or exhibits in connection with the Event; and (e) government entities and regulatory authorities as required by law. You consent to your details being shared with such parties and agree and acknowledge that such parties may contact you in the future. You acknowledge that there may be certain areas of the Event at which your attendance is conditional on your personal information being provided to third parties which have sponsored or are managing such areas. You further agree and acknowledge that your personal information may be used to create a delegate list (physical or digital) for the Event, and that such list may be shared with other Event attendees; if you do not wish to be included on such list please contact marketing@i3D.net before registering for the Event. All processing of personal information set forth in this section is subject to applicable data protection legislation. The use that any third parties make of your personal information is outside of i3D.net’s control and, to the extent permitted by applicable law, i3D.net does not accept any liability in this regard.

  10. FORCE MAJEURE. i3D.net and Event sponsors shall not be held responsible or liable for any delay or failure in performance of its obligations hereunder (including the holding or hosting of the Event) to the extent such delay or failure is caused by (i) storm, flood, fire, earthquake or other acts of God; (ii) war, invasion, hostilities, terrorist threats or acts, riot, or other civil unrest or violence; (iii) any disease, epidemic or pandemic, including novel coronavirus COVID-19 (together with any mutation, adaptation, or variation thereof), (iv) embargoes or blockades; (v) national or regional emergency; (vi) strikes, labour stoppages, or slowdowns or other industrial disturbances; (vii) any order or guidance from any governmental or quasi-governmental organization, including without limitation in regard to travel, public gatherings, or health and safety; (viii) disruptions in supply chains, hotel inventory, commercial air travel or other public transportation; (ix) failure of carriers or utilities or equipment beyond i3D.net’s reasonable control; (x) unavailability of the venue through no fault of i3D.net; or (xi) other similar causes beyond the reasonable control of i3D.net.

  11. Entrant hereby agrees that if any provision or part thereof contained in these Standard Event Terms is declared illegal, unenforceable, or ineffective, such provision or part thereof shall be deemed severable, such that all other provisions contained in these Standard Event Terms shall remain valid and binding. All waivers of any provision of these Standard Event Terms must be made in writing and signed by i3D.net. i3D.net reserves the right to modify these terms and conditions at any time without prior notice. The most current version will always be posted on i3D.net’s website.

  12. GOVERNING LAW AND JURISDICTION. Entrant hereby understands and agrees that this Agreement will be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Netherlands. Entrant and net hereby consent to the exclusive jurisdiction of any court sitting in Rotterdam, The Netherlands.
