The Jade Dragons win the tenth edition of the SMITE World Championship

12 February 2024

Season X of the SMITE World Championship (SWC) was as action-packed as ever, except that it contained a few extra twists and turns compared to previous editions. i3D.net has proudly helped Hi-Rez Studios build and grow the SMITE community by hosting the game on its platform for several years. This year’s tournament was also an opportunity for i3D.net to be in the midst of all the action and connect with SMITE’s community even further. i3D.net powered the analyst’s desk at the SWC X, bringing live updates and stats about the matches to both in-person and online audience members.

The intense competition over the weekend culminated in a victory for the Jade Dragons, with a 3–2 victory against the Omni Dragons in the finals on Sunday. Congratulations to the Jade Dragons for becoming the champions of the 2024 tournament and their mid-laner Bastien “Dardez” Proustmem, for securing the MVP award for SWC X.

The SMITE World Championship has continued to grow in its ten-year history, and this is in large part due to the success of the game and the way Hi-Rez Studios has fostered and supported its gamers throughout the game’s lifecycle. Congratulations to the SMITE team and Hi-Rez Studios for making the SWC one of the world’s most popular esports events of the year!

Beyond the fierce competition and all the drama at the SWC, the announcement and trailer of SMITE 2’s release was perhaps one of the most notable moments of the entire weekend. SWC X marks the end of an era, but with SMITE 2 being released, it is exciting to see what the event will look like in 2025.

Congrats to the players, Hi-Rez Studios, the SMITE team, and of course, the fans for making this possible!
