Data Protection & Security with GDPR in effect at i3D.net
23 May 2018

We greatly value the importance of privacy and data protection. i3D.net has high standards for data security since the company was founded in 2002.

From May 25th the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) will be in effect in all member states of the European Union. The main goal of the GDPR is to protect privacy-sensitive data. The new law sets rules for organizations that work with personal data. Processing personal data includes all actions that can be performed with personal data. We would like to inform you of recent developments in our company.

In the GDPR, i3D.net is identified as a data processor. This means a data processing agreement needs to be settled between i3D.net and our customers. We provide this agreement for acceptance through our control panel (customer.i3d.net/controlpanel/data-agreement.php), and for review on www.i3d.net/legal/data-processing-agreement/. Please make sure that the agreement gets reviewed and accepted.

We have also made changes in the way we process your data. We have described this in our privacy statement, available at www.i3d.net/legal/privacy-and-cookie-statement/. To make these updates an integral component of our service, we are updating our Terms & Conditions, available at www.i3d.net/legal/terms-and-conditions/.

i3D.net is audited and certified by the Content Delivery & Security Association (CDSA) on Content Protection & Security. The standard continues to contribute significantly to the development of effective safety checks in the areas of e.g. content and customer data security. These are especially targeting the security of digital media and the application of efficient security checks in information technology (IT).

Besides managing our information security through the CDSA, our team is working on expanding our procedures and standards with the ISO/IEC 27001:2013 certification.

If you have any questions about these policy updates, please don’t hesitate to reach out to your account team or contact us through support@i3d.net in reference to ‘Data protection & Security’. We value your feedback.
