Why your role matters

As our Account Manager – Marketplaces, you will lead our go-to-market strategy for global mid-market consumer and marketplace platforms. Your mission is to identify, target, and win new business with platforms that require scalable, high-performance infrastructure to serve millions of users worldwide.

You will translate industry dynamics, from buyer-seller matching to payment integrations and fraud prevention , into tailored commercial solutions powered by i3D.net.

What you’ll be doing

  • Hunt for new business: Actively prospect, build pipelines, and close deals with consumer and marketplace platforms globally.

  • Execute go-to-market plans: Collaborate with marketing and leadership to identify high-potential targets and turn plans into deals.

  • Spot opportunities: Leverage knowledge of peak load management, uptime, and analytics pipelines to position i3D.net as a growth enabler.

  • Build networks: Develop trusted relationships with marketplace decision-makers (product leads, CTOs, operations).

  • Coordinate internally: Partner with Product, Support, and Operations to ensure seamless onboarding for new customers.

  • Forecast & report: Keep accurate records in HubSpot and provide reliable forecasts of new business.

What success looks like in the first year

  • You’ve built a pipeline of marketplace opportunities aligned with our GTM strategy.

  • You’ve closed new business with multiple platforms handling large-scale consumer transactions.

  • You’ve positioned i3D.net as a trusted partner in at least one new strategic marketplace account.

  • You’ve contributed insights on marketplace trends (cross-border e-commerce, mobile-first, trust & safety) that shaped our GTM approach.

About you

  • Hunter mindset: 3–6 years in B2B sales or business development, ideally with marketplaces, SaaS, or infrastructure.

  • Industry knowledge: Understanding of marketplace operations (buyer-seller matching, payments, fraud prevention).

  • Peak load savvy: Knowledge of surges like Black Friday or Singles Day and how infrastructure must scale.

  • Conversion aware: Awareness of how uptime, page load speed, and reach drive marketplace success.

  • Operationally strong: Skilled with CRMs, pipeline management, and reporting.

  • Cross-functional communicator: Comfortable aligning with technical and operational teams.

  • Languages: Fluent in English; Dutch, French, German, or Spanish are a plus.

  • Location: Based in the Netherlands with valid EU work permit; 2 days per week in Rotterdam office.
