Stijn Koster began his entrepreneurial career in 2004 with the launch of i3D.net, a global hosting provider with datacenters around the world. With focus on technology, service and performance, i3D.net grew significantly and operates 10,000 servers worldwide. In 2009, Stijn founded SmartDC: a datacenter operator with two 36,000 sq. ft. data centers in the Netherlands. Two years later he started Game Blocks, a software company creating middleware for the game industry. Stijn won several awards with i3D.net: numeral Deloitte Technology Fast 500 EMEA rankings and winner of the FD Gouden Gazellen award for fastest growing profitable company of the province South Holland during 2009-2012. Stijn`s focus is on growth and expansion by developing cutting edge technology and pushing the boundaries of technology for projects on all platforms
Rick joined i3D.net in 2005 with a main focus on (game) server management and support. In the following years Rick developed to the position of Chief Operating Officer (COO), his current position, where he is member of the management team and responsible for the daily operations of the company. Next to his management responsibilities, Rick is responsible for procurement and critical sales decisions. Rick supports each team within i3D.net and ensures that they perform to the fullest of their potential. Keeping customers satisfied is one of Rick’s main passions and therefore achieving optimal customer satisfaction is his most important goal. With large projects, Rick is always ready to support and help to overcome the issues at hand. Currently, Rick’s main pursuits are with account management of enterprise customers, i3D.net’s cloud proposition and the expanding of i3D.net’s services on multiple locations worldwide.
Stefan has been at i3D.net since the very beginning and serves in the position of Chief Technical Officer (CTO). In the last decade, Stefan has been responsible for solving the technical challenges which arise when scaling to thousands of servers and integrating services with both public and private clouds spanning multiple locations. Stefan’s main focus is to build and maintain i3D.net’s worldwide network so it will support the ever growing demand of our gaming and enterprise business clients for high capacity, low latency and reliable connectivity. Current challenges involve expanding i3D.net’s services to the emerging markets such as Brazil, China and the Middle East. Fulfilling the ever increasing connectivity and hosting needs of our enterprise clients, for stable connectivity and cloud integration of operations worldwide, is what Stefan does best.
In 2016, Frank was appointed as Chief Financial Officer. In this role he is, among other things, responsible for the financial management and Human Resources within i3D.net. His career started at Rabobank, where he gained experience in analyzing different kinds of (non) financial information, working with risk models, customer relationship management and corporate finance and credit risk management. With over seven years of experience in banking and a Master degree in both Economics and Law Frank is the perfect CFO for i3D.net. His biggest challenge is the automation of the processes within the organization, for an optimized and efficient operation.
Emile Schouwstra strengthens the i3D.net management team as Chief Commercial Officer since 2016. In this role he is responsible for the sales and marketing of i3D.net. Emile looks at himself as a real digital athlete with a tremendous passion and interest in IT, Internet, innovation, sales and people in general. Emile grew up with computers like the Phillips P2000T and was fervent user of the Commodore 64 that he used to take his first steps on the Internet. A career in IT was an obvious choice after that. The foundation of his career was laid at IBM Amsterdam, and later he worked at Bull, Dell, LeaseWeb and Detron. Cloud hosting and data center services are a common thread through his career. Within i3D.net Emile is particularly engaged with the further expansion of the commercial team, partners / resellers, cooperation with various vendors and the introduction of the global i3D.net platform in the corporate market
