As a Team Lead DC Ops, you will guide one of our DC Ops teams in their day-to-day operations. The Team Leader DC Ops supports, coaches, and leads a multi-disciplinary infrastructure team towards self-organization and guides them in (technical) decision making. Our DC Ops teams consist of highly educated technical professionals. As their Team Lead, you help them to become more proficient in their jobs, by coaching them on a personal level and as a team. This includes helping them gain more technical knowledge but also to develop their competencies and soft skills. You have a sharp vision on DC Ops; you guide in technical decision making, advocate the quality mindset and ensure output is of the expected quality levels and aligned with our business objectives. Downtime should be avoided at all times which is why you have a strong collaboration with the Team lead DC Ops NCSA. Together you share responsibility and assure 24/7 coverage and service delivery by your teams.
You have a passion for games and IT, you know what it is like to manage infrastructure and tooling by your own experience or because of previous experience in managing an infrastructure team. You genuinely care for people and get energized when people excel in their personal development and their cooperation as a team. Ideally you are based in the Netherlands and able to come into the office a couple of days a week.
Pro-active, initiative-taker with excellent people management skills and experience in managing a development team.
Low latency is our mission! In 2002 we set out to improve online experiences for gamers. Today, we translate our hosting innovations to various industries, but gaming is still in our DNA. And as of 2019, we are part of the Ubisoft family! We build out our network presence in data centers across the globe – from Madrid to Mumbai, Amsterdam to Seattle, and everything in between – bringing content closer to the users.
Our team works hard on everything related to running our privately owned premium network, from opening new points-of-presence, setting up peering relationships, developing integral products like anti-DDoS protection, and serving our customers with expert help and advice. Finally, we play even harder, in our office gym and bar, and with our lifetime access to Ubisoft games.
