i3D.net is a leading provider of high-performance, low-latency hosting through an extensive, private global network. As gaming industry veterans, we know what it takes to keep our network up to date and relevant. Following our acquisition by Ubisoft in 2019, i3D.net is part of one of the largest game publishers worldwide. In these uncertain times, i3D.net has grown significantly due to our scalable infrastructure. We provide the online infrastructure of several big games and VoIP providers online with end-users around the globe.
The Manager of Service leads various departments within the Operations group of i3D.net Servicedesk, Project Management, Compliance, and Service Management. You think along about the strategy of i3D.net and know how to translate it into short- and long-term goals. The team leaders of the departments mentioned above report directly to the COO. Your task is to ensure that these teams are deployed efficiently through proper guidance, direction, and training. All this with the aim of having all operational matters run smoothly in the most cost-effective manner possible. The continuity of the online infrastructure has the highest priority. As a Service Manager, you have many different responsibilities, so planning, improvising, and keeping an overview are skills you need every day.
Your main goal is to indirectly help reach the revenue goals stated by the commercial management team. You’ll assist sales in technical business cases, make sure all technical information is translated into proper documentation both for internal and external use, maintain an updated product portfolio, and reach out directly to customers to ensure customer problems are assessed and translated to a fitting solution.
At i3D.net, who you are is just as important as what you can do. You are pragmatic with an entrepreneurial spirit. The world of IT & Service has no secrets for you, and you have several years of leadership experience. You can be your own boss and enjoy the opportunity to structure your days and work with many different people within the organization. You are not only able to identify areas of improvement but also know how to implement them. Being structured is what you love most, but you must improvise when plans don’t unfold as they should. Most importantly, you are a team player who can hold your own in a fast-paced but fun work environment.
The Manager of Service reports to our COO and directly and indirectly manages 15 colleagues within the teams: Service Desk, Project Management, Compliance, and Service Management. Working during the pandemic is a challenge, but we can proudly say that we have successfully met that challenge. Despite the distance, we can work together, bond, and settle down. You will have the freedom to structure your days, work hours, and environment. If you feel safer working from home, feel free to make use of our budget for equipping your home office. You can also use our office in Rotterdam, including the fully equipped gym, kitchen and game room (subject to safety measures).
Low latency is our mission! In 2002 we set out to improve online experiences for gamers. Today, we translate our hosting innovations to various industries, but gaming is still in our DNA. And as of 2019, we are part of the Ubisoft family! We build out our network presence in data centers across the globe – from Moscow to Mumbai, Amsterdam to Seattle, and everything in between – bringing content closer to the users.
Our team works hard on everything related to running our privately owned premium network, from opening new points-of-presence, setting up peering relationships, developing integral products like anti-DDoS protection, and serving our customers with expert help and advice. Finally, we play even harder, in our office gym and bar, and with our lifetime access to Ubisoft games.
That’s great! Apply for the position with your cover letter and CV and we’ll get in touch with you as soon as we can.
