Consumer Game Servers

We founded our business around consumer game servers and helped the gaming community thrive since 2004. Although we no longer offer community servers directly to players around the globe, we are still empowering the gaming community by providing game developers with all the tools they need to make online communities flourish.

Community Servers

Over the course of nearly 20 years, we have enabled millions of gamers all around the world to play their favorite games together with their friends by providing them with their own consumer game servers. With the industry moving towards a more centralized hosting model, we have phased out our consumer game servers to continue our mission to bring low latency connectivity to as many users around the globe.

The i3D.net network powers some of the biggest AAA games in the business. Therefore, we are confident that our players will find a new home on our global low latency infrastructure. Besides empowering AAA game publishers, we are also fully committed to supporting the indie game community through our Indie Developer Program.

Gaming is at the heart of what we do. Therefore, we will continue to support the gaming community by focusing our efforts on providing developers with all the tools they need to give i3D.net’s users an amazing online experience wherever they are in the world.

FAQ

The industry is moving away from offering consumer game & voice servers and towards a centralized server hosting model. By phasing out consumer game & voice servers, we can focus our efforts on providing developers with the tools to continue delivering amazing online experiences for you. For more details, read our news story on the phase-out
We have currently limited contract renewal periods to one month (ProCon layers excluded) and adjusted every active account to this new policy. Contract renewal periods on consumer game and voice servers will be disabled on September 30th, 2022. This would result in your consumer game server or voice server being shut down in October 2022 should you not cancel the server yourself before that timeframe. We intend to shut down our last consumer game & voice servers by the end of October 2022.

We have limited contract renewal periods to one month (ProCon layers excluded); every automatic renewal has been adjusted to this new policy. Contract renewal periods on consumer game and voice servers will be disabled on September 30th, 2022. For example, if you currently have a contract ending on August 15th, 2022, you will only be able to extend your contract to September 15th, 2022. After August 31st, your contract will not be renewed anymore and will close automatically.

Due to security issues regarding ProCon layers, we are forced to stop offering these consumer game servers effective immediately, May 2nd, 2022; every automatic renewal has been adjusted to this new policy. Therefore, the above timeline does not apply to ProCon layers; instead, the current contract end date will be definitive without the option to renew. If your current contract extends beyond September 30th, 2022, that will be the definitive end date.
Contracts that last beyond this date will be terminated on the first possible occasion, and the customers for these contracts will be credited for the remaining months of their contract. The contract will be terminated on the first possible occasion and on the same day of the month as the contract ends. Either you can let your contract run until September 30th, and we close it automatically, or you can cancel your contract as soon as possible, and you will be credited for the remaining months of your contract.

If your contract expires before September 30th, 2022, and automatic renewal is disabled, you will not be able to renew your contract. If it does not expire before this date, we will terminate your contract upon the first possible occasion on the same day of the month as your contract end date unless agreed otherwise. Once this is determined, we will credit you for the remaining months of your contract.

For example: if your current contract ends on October 15th, 2022, we will terminate your contract on the 15th of September 2022 and refund you the remaining month of your contract.

You can log in to our customer panel, navigate to the Billing tab of the game server you would like to cancel, and press “Cancel your game server.” If you have multiple game server contracts, you will need to repeat this process. If you need help, please contact our support team, and they would be happy to help you out with either canceling or disabling your automatic contract renewal.

It is no longer possible to order new consumer game and voice servers from i3D.net. Our customer support team is happy to provide you with some alternative solutions.

We are fully committed to helping the indie game community and happy to help eligible game studios through our new Indie Developer Program. You can contact our Sales Team; they can discuss which options are available and/or best suited to you and your game.
