Someone who creatively uses the resources that he/she is given to reach a win-win situation for both customer and company.

As, we are taking major steps forward. For this position we are looking for a builder, thinker and do-er to get the sales department into the high technical world of game and enterprise hosting. As sales manager you are responsible for customer relationships and the generation of new business in enterprise and game hosting.

Your primary focus will be:
  • Managing the sales teams in the Netherlands and in the US;

  • Discussion partner for CTO’s, CIO’s and other decision makers of large corporations;

  • Being the discussion partner for game studios with an (in)direct hosting wish;
  • Generating new business within enterprise and game hosting;
  • Visiting customers all over the world;
  • Reporting to the CCO.
Your department is responsible for:
  • Generating new business;

  • Making agreements;

  • 360 degree account management;
  • Maintaining the CRM system;
  • Making quotes and agreements;
  • Visit fairs and events with the aim of generating business;
  • Realizing revenue growth.

A day in the office

In the car on the way to the office you think about the goals of the day. As soon as you enter the building you greet the office manager who informs you that your flights and accomodations have been booked for the coming period. You start the day with a standup with your team to discuss the most important opportunities. You know that every customer requires a different way of attention and you guide your team in thinking creatively. You check if there are appointments being made regarding upcoming events in the US. You will visit the event with a number of people from your team and of course you want to come back with results. Immediately after your trip you will visit some of our largest customers to discuss the right way forward. Then you sit down with the CCO to discuss the results of last month. The results are increasing and you are happy with that. There are a number of large leads in the funnel that you feel good about. Your presentation during the monthly all-hands meeting will therefore be one to be proud of. You discuss with the CCO some ideas about lead generation and ways how to increase growth. A formality turned out afterwards, because he fully supports your ideas. It was a nice productive day and the sales office is buzzing. Time to blow off some steam in the gym.

The team

The sales team currently consists of 7 people. Two juniors, an account manager with a focus on the game industry, a partner success manager and two senior account managers who focus on the business market. In addition, we have a senior account manager in the US who focuses on new business.

Your work environment has a head office in Rotterdam. This will be your main work place. The data center is located in the Van Nelle Factory. This will be your secondary work place. All offices are equipped with elevated desks with at least two screens. You will receive a high-end laptop which you can connect to one of the docking stations.

Our ideal candidate has

  • 3+ years of relevant work experience as a manager;
  • Basic knowledge of the hosting and data center world;
  • Knowledge of (and affinity with) gaming and the game industry;
  • Relevant work experience in the game or hosting industry is an absolute plus;
  • Living within 50 km of Rotterdam;
  • Is flexible to fly with some regularity (1 to 2 times per quarter);
  • Full-time position (40 hours);
  • Bachelor’s degree;
  • Excellent communication skills in Dutch and English;
  • You are a team player, structured, precise, result-oriented and representative;
  • You keep the ball rolling.
