Maintenance notice February 5th 2013

On Tuesday February 5th, 2013 we will perform maintenance to our core VDX switches in our datacenter SmartDC, Suite 24 and Suite 6.

New software
Our network engineers will update the switch software to the latest version, include configuration updates and add more capacity to the switches.

Service impact
As we need to reload the switches which are behind the redundancy layer there will be a 15 minute downtime per rack during in the maintenance window.

Maintenance window
The maintenance window is on Tuesday February 5th, 2013 and starts at 03:00 CET and ends at 05:00 CET.

Battlefield 3 Patch R36 available

DICE released the new R36 patch wich fixes some small issues with the latest server build, mainly a newly detected cheat that would allow the player to crash the server.

Clients can update to this new build through the update game server page in the control panel. If there are no issues with the new build all servers will be upgraded to the R36 build at 12:00 CET on January 24th.

VAT increases to 21% on October 1st, 2012

Dear customer,

The VAT percentage in the Netherlands is raised from 19% to 21% on October 1st, 2012. Effective immediately, all services delivered on and after October 1st, 2012, are subject to the new VAT percentage.

A selected group of services offered by i3D.net will not be raised in pricing as i3D.net absorbs the additional VAT costs.

The following services are priced and invoiced with 21% without price increase for our customers:
- Game servers
- Voice servers
- Web hosting
- Domain names

The following services will be charged on 21% VAT and will see an increase on the VAT inclusive total:
- Dedicated servers
- Colocation services
- Bandwidth and IP Transit
- VPN, Firewall, managed hosting

Due to the complexity of this government enforced increase, we will be sending out additional VAT tax invoices for the services offered after October 1st, 2012. These VAT invoices justify the additional 2% VAT to be charged for all services after October 1st.

Backupruimte.nl: uw backupruimte met encryptie en maximale veiligheid

Graag brengen wij u op de hoogte dat i3D vanaf heden ook backupruimte aanbiedt.

Steeds vaker is men zich bewust dat dataverlies grote schade tot gevolg kan hebben.
Vanuit i3D is de nieuwe dienst Backupruimte.nl opgestart. Het team van Backupruimte staat onder leiding van Rick Sloot en is al meerdere jaren in de markt actief. Het team van backupruimte.nl heeft in de afgelopen jaren de software ontwikkeld waarmee u uw data veilig kunt stellen.

U kunt direct profiteren van deze nieuwe dienst. De servers van Backupruimte.nl staan namelijk ook in het SmartDC datacenter te Rotterdam; uw backups zullen dus uitermate snel weggeschreven worden! Uiteraard is er daarnaast de optie om deze data te synchroniseren naar een extern datacenter te Frankfurt, Duitsland.

INTERACTIVE 3D, i3D.net, is per direct op zoek naar een strategische datacenter experts voor werkzaamheden vanaf ons 3500 m2 carrier-neutraal datacenter te Rotterdam. Werkzaamheden zijn fulltime, 40 uur per week, en zullen bestaan uit het leveren van tweede lijns support aan onze klanten en het opbouwen van de server infrastructuur van triple-A game titels wereldwijd.

Goede communicatieve vaardigheden zijn van groot belang. Er is veel overleg met klanten in de VS en leveranciers in Europa en Azië. Alle externe communicatie zal in het Engels plaatsvinden, je zult hierin in zowel spraak als geschrift vloeiend moeten zijn.

Onze eigen software speelt een grote rol in deployment van nieuwe games en is gelicenseerd aan vrijwel alle grote game publishers. Op basis van onze technologie zal je klanten adviseren en deelnemen aan wereldwijde deployments van Xbox360 en PS3 games. Battlefield 3 R26 patch now available

Dear clients,

DICE released the new R26 patch wich fixes some small issues with the latest server build:

- Bugfixes for the new Join Queue mechanism. With these changes in place, players who join via the queue will get GUIDs. This will make 3^rd party RCON tools happier. This should also solve problems with players not being listed in PunkBuster’s player list.

- Bugfixes in the double XP support.

New maps for Close Quarter Expansion.
